Mr. Henningsen talks about seeking compensation if you have been involved in a personal injury related accident.
"I do believe that there is a public sentiment out there that if you have been injured and you file a lawsuit that it is in some way frivolous. That is not the case, at all, with how we practice. When we go in front of a jury, we need to know that. We need to know that the scales are tipped against us. We're going to have to overcome a bias that people are going to be seeing in these cases and we do that by being honest, and having integrity, and showing the credibility behind these cases. That you are injured, you are injured in the way that we say you're injured and that the other party is responsible.
That immediately builds credibility with the jury. Now you're on the same level-playing filed, when you're in that trial, to get a fair shake and to get what is reasonable and to get compensated for what you have been through. At the end of the day, my philosophy is not to ask a jury for more than what you would expect in a case. Our job is to ask for what is the right amount based upon our research, based upon our understanding and based upon what you have been through."
